Expansion of our Photovoltaic System
With the expansion of its photovoltaic system, RDG Recycling Group is taking another major step towards sustainability. What was previously 2,000 m² of panel area has now been increased to 6,000 m².
Photovoltaic System Covers 60% of Total Energy Demand
For this project, we once again partnered with Daxberger Elektrotechnik. After just two weeks of installation work carried out by Marasolar, our new photovoltaic system was successfully put into operation at the end of May. Thanks to this expansion, we are now able to generate 600 MWh of green energy, covering 60% of our total energy consumption.
RDG Produces 100% Climate-Neutral
At RDG Recycling Group, sustainability is more than just a buzzword – it is part of our everyday operations. Reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible is one of our key priorities.
For this reason, the remaining 40% of our energy demand is supplied by environmentally friendly hydropower. This means that RDG now operates with 100% climate-neutral energy production.
Promoting Emission-Free Mobility
Within our vehicle fleet, we are continuously focusing on e-mobility by gradually replacing company cars with electric vehicles.
Our in-house charging station for electric vehicles is powered exclusively by the solar energy we produce ourselves. It is not only available to our employees but is also accessible to the public.
In this way, we actively support emission-free mobility while significantly reducing our CO₂ emissions.
