About RDG

The RDG Recycling Group, based in Mühlheim am Inn, comprises RDG – Plast GmbH and RDG – Verbund GmbH. We specialize in the recycling of plastics, including production waste, composite materials, and large-volume post-industrial waste.

With advanced recycling technologies, we transform plastic waste into high-quality shredded material, regrind, and regranulates. Throughout the process, materials are carefully sorted by type and processed to ensure consistent quality.

Our recycled materials are reintroduced into the production cycle and used to manufacture a wide range of new products.

RDG stands for

Recycling to protect resources

We source our raw materials from the automotive supply industry, packaging manufacturers for the food industry, major pipe manufacturers, waste management companies and local authorities. These materials are shredded, ground and processed into granules or recycled material – products of the highest quality and the greatest possible purity.

Documented quality (ISO 9001 & 14001)

The RDG Recycling Group is TÜV-certified: ISO 9001:2015 since 2019 and ISO 14001:2015 since 2024. This means that all processes and procedures involved in processing plastic production waste into high-quality regrind are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and are regularly audited.

Guaranteed recycling

Our work enables us to reintroduce plastic waste into the production cycle. In this way, we promote a circular economy and thereby make an important contribution to environmental protection.  We guarantee that no unprocessed material leaves our premises or is passed on to third parties.
The export share of the recycled material we produce is around 70 %. Our customers include end-users, compounders and trading companies in Austria, EU countries and third countries.

Sustainability

As a recycling company, sustainability is not just important to us – we put it into practice every day! We are committed to climate-neutral production processes, making a valuable contribution to the environment.

Covering an area of almost 10,000 m² and with a total capacity of 990 kWp, our photovoltaic system provides up to 60 p% of the energy required for production.

Self-sufficient heat supply

The RDG Recycling Group is self-sufficient in heat supply. We heat our entire facility using wood chips from production residues. For this purpose, we utilize one-way pallets that would otherwise require disposal.

Photovoltaic system

The existing photovoltaic system has been expanded by 4,000 m². With a total capacity now standing at 990 kWp, the company is able to cover half of its energy requirements with electricity generated from its own solar power.

100% renewable energy sources

To optimise its energy supply, the RDG Recycling Group sources its electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources. The energy purchased comes mainly from wind and hydro power, as well as solar power from energy cooperatives.

E-Mobility

Sustainability also plays a key role in our vehicle fleet. Our company cars are gradually being replaced with electric
vehicles. The charging stations are available not only to our employees but also to the public. In this way, we contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and promoting e-mobility.
