RDG Recycling Group and Teufelberger:
New Partnership for “better.collect”
It is official: RDG Recycling Group is proud to announce its new partnership with Strapping Solutions for the “better.collect” project. This collaboration marks an important step towards a more sustainable future and strengthens the circular economy in Austria.
LOCAL COLLABORATION STRENGTHENS THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN AUSTRIA
“It is great to see local companies working together to advance the circular economy in Austria,” says Jürgen Scheiblehner, Managing Director of Strapping Solutions. “However, projects with such great potential require innovators like Teufelberger and RDG Recycling Group.”
GIVING STRAPPING BANDS A SECOND LIFE
As the recycling partner, RDG is responsible for processing used strapping bands that were previously collected by Teufelberger with the support of various partners. The material is sorted by RDG and processed into regrind or granulate before being returned to the production cycle as high-quality recycled material.
Strapping Solutions then uses this valuable recycled raw material to produce new PET and PP strapping bands.
“We are working intensively to achieve the familiar Teufelberger quality standards for the recycled material,” says Franz Kobleder, Managing Director of RDG Recycling Group. “This requires an exchange of knowledge and expertise on both sides, which can only work on the basis of mutual trust.”
ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Together with Teufelberger, we are taking another important step towards a more sustainable future. Because “better.collect” can only succeed through collaboration.“This allows us not only to give our strapping bands a second life, but also to prevent plastic waste and save additional CO₂,” explains Jürgen Scheiblehner.
